Sikiru Adepoju
has had a very expansive career,
which started when he was six-years-old,
mixing formal education with drumming
at his fathers sides in Eruwa, western Nigeria.
He has recorded on several Albums with
Chief Ebenezer Obey and
The Inter-reformers band,
as well as with with Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana,
O.J. Ekemode and The Nigerian All Stars.
Sikiru is a Grammy Award winner,

founding member of
Mickey Hart's Planet Drum,
and a key member of Afrikan drum Guru
Babatunde Olantunji's Drums of Passion.
Sikiru has traveled extensively throughought

Europe and Japan, and has been a
featured artist on diverse percussion recordings.

Val Serrant,
a wizard of the steel pan,
(steel drum of Trinidad and Tobago),
as well as the kalimba, shekere, and many other assorted percussion instruments,
infuses vitality into this cultural musical mix.
Val has been teaching his craft to children and adults at home and abroad.
In tune with his Afrikan heritage,
Val has performed his art in many countries
of the world, including Australia, Finland, Holland, Senegal, Malaysia, Singapore,
and the USA.

Saminu Ayanwola Adepoju
is Sikiru's baby brother,
but he, like his brother,
has become a successful drummer.
He was a staunch member of Ebenezer Obey
and His Inter-reformers Band
from 1985 through 1991.
Saminu has travelled pratically all over
the world as an entertainer,
including three visits to the United States
as a member of Ebenezer Obey and
his Inter-reformers Band.
Saminu currently lives in London
as an entertainer.
When Saminu joins forces with his brother, something significant happens.
Giovanni Hidalgo
is regarded internationally as the hottest
star in Latin Percussion.
Giovanni descended from a family of
drummers, picking up his first set of
bongos when he was three years old.
Today, Giovanni is in demand in Europe,

the Americans, and Asia.
Giovanni is a Grammy Award winning

member of Mickey Hart's Planet Drum.
Bola Abimbola,
a Nigerian-born, United States resident,
is a talented songwriter, singer, and producer.
He has written quite a number of songs
for many musicians in Nigeria,
including the legendary
King Sunny Ade, the reigning juju artist.
In 1998, Bola won the Nigerian award
for the best music video.
His current focus is Fuji Pop music,
which he intends to pursue with
characteristic energy and creativity.
Bola is keen on working with
Sikiru Adepoju of the Afrika Heartbeat.
Peter Fujii, a Japanese American self-taught guitarist , grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He picked up the guitar late in high school. His early influences are B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and Sly Stone; later influences include those of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and many other classical musicians - including those of the Afrikan, Latin, Indian, Japanese and Cuban folk music.
Peter believes in bringing the world together through music, which he sees as "a language of the soul". He has had the pleasure of making music with musical geniuses, including Pharaoh Sanders, Esther Phillips, Ray Obiedo, Hank Crawford, Quincy Jones, Bernard Edwards, C.K.Ladzepo, Kenneth Nash, Carl Wheeler, Samba Ngo, Shakara, Sonny Okosun, Desxon X.
